Pearl Freight Services was incorporated on 13th of June 1993. Keeping JNPT in view as a port of the future, Pearl started its activities way back in 1993, by offering the Palaspe container yard for storage of MTY containers. Maersk India Ltd. and Sea Speed Shipping were among the first esteemed customers to use the yard for storing of empty containers and were impressed with the quality of services offered to them.

Our starting point in CFS management came when Maersk India Ltd. CFS was non-operational for almost six months due to labour and union issues. Having been impressed with our high level of service and local knowledge at the Palaspe container yard, Maersk allowed Pearl to initiate discussions with the labour union, handing over the responsibility of restarting operations to us. The six month deadlock was soon handled by Pearl, and operations resumed shortly, thereby creating a new business venue for Pearl to expand into.

Pearl Freight Services also handles transport for a variety of Container Freight Stations, thus providing a complete value chain, including CFS management (Handling and Transport), container repair, CFS canteen management and container transport.

We thereby eliminate the need of having to deal with various companies for different services by providing an entire suite of Container Freight Station specific services for an integrated CFS management package.

Pearl Freight Services handles the transport of both empty and loaded containers, primarily from the CFS to the J.N. port. In order to ensure that we deliver on our promise of Service Perfected, we own the required equipments. Our fleet consists of a total of 101 trailers.

Pearl follows all formalities and approvals related to various statutory authorities such as labour law enforcing authorities and labour license, safety regulations, employees and establishment related acts, minimum wages act, provident fund act, and any other statutory compliance as required. Our workers are covered under group med claim / personal accident policy along with outdoor treatment round the clock with our panel doctors available at Uran. In addition, during working hours we take all possible safety measures by providing safety shoes, hand gloves, eye shield and masks to protect our labours from Hazardous cargoes.

Our strength in terms of local knowledge and familiarity with rules and regulations, coupled with our ever increasing emphasis on delivering the best in quality to our customers has led to Pearl Freight Services Private Limited becoming the largest player in CFS management in JNPT.

	Cargo Handling: Pearl Freight Services handles stuffing and de-stuffing at the various container freight stations, in 3 different modes depending on the client's requirements - manual, forklift and crane. PFS has a fleet of 70 forklifts of 2.5 ton capacity each, consisting of a mix of diesel and electric operated engines to cater to the specific warehousing needs.
